What about putting earth humans of modern day dropped into fantasy or sci fi? It can be really amusing.... after all, there are enough books about it, why not in a campaign, after all, they are just tandem stories....

Besides, can you imagine the look on an elf's face when they get plugged into a CD player? hehehehe

Or the look on someone's face when they come face to chest with a cyborg? ;)
