...just finished *devouring* what you've written so far. There are certain parts (Canada-US similarity; Maritime Canadian here) where I nod "yeah, that's so true" and others (underground cities!) where I'm just in awe. Seems like the world is even crazier than I give it credit for.
As sort of an idea or question for a future column, what sort of experience have you had with "local legends"? I would imagine that, if it's your thing, one could amass quite a collection of firsthand "local tales" whilst globetrotting. Tales which I'm sure would make great adventure fodder...
