But I'm really not into graphs, and some of your decisions seems rather odd. Why do "minotaurs" rate above "trolls" in the 'popular culture' axis? And why do Lizardmen rate as highly (I can think of numerous fairytales and legends involving trolls, I can't think of any references to "lizardmen" outside of Schlock Fantasy).
Your "popular culture" criterion seems to be working through a fairly hefty (for want of a better term) geek filter. Minotaurs-as-race, for example, are essentially a D&D-ism. The mythical (and, by extension "popular culture") minotaur was a unique creature. The story is "Theseus and /the/ minotaur", not "Theseus and a Minotaur Lord with Fighter Levels"
