"Tangentially: American troops have been wayyy more likely to run screaming from a fight then French soldiers, who preferred to die where they stood."
Rant on.
On behalf on my fellow American veterans you can go straight to hell. I was on a plane bound for Saudi Arabia in 1991 that had to land in Belgium because the French did not want to let us land on our way to aid the Kuwaitis.
I suppose you've forgotten that it was American troops who saved France in two world wars as well, one of whom was my wife's grandfather. Some Frenchmen helped, some were too busy helping the Germans. In the US military we have a word for aiding the enemy: treason and a penalty for doing so: death.
If you want to demonstrate that French soldiers are more brave than American soldiers (good luck) please provide some facts not just your inflammatory opinion. And by the way dying is not the best way to serve your country if you are a soldier. Living and killing the enemy is.
Rant off.
