 The Need for Supplements

Mike,

I'd like to know whether the Spacebuckler supplements contain material that may be necessary to run a game. I specifically have in mind Spycraft, which has introduced new rules in their supplements that modify or outright preempt material in the core book. A core book should be able to stand alone, regardless of whether a publisher is planning an expansive line, no?
