I'm not really sure how this article contributes to an understanding of women's contributions to the RPG world. Frankly, it's hard for me to look past the cliched descriptions of the women interviewed to actually get a real sense of what they're doing and what their actual roles are.
I'm a female in the RPG world. I love seeing women's contributions celebrated -- but done so with a little more depth and context as to who they actually are and what they're doing to move that world forward.
For instance, when one of the women mentioned being comfortable with playing characters of either gender -- rather than glibly writing that "I guess that's the point of role-playing", maybe you could have gotten a little deeper about what that might mean for a person assuming another gender role through RPG.
Bottom line: If I want to read a flat-out feel-good kool-aid-drinkin' pseudo-feminist article, I'll just buy myself a copy of "O" magazine.
