Boy, am I jealous of all the attention you're getting!
On the other hand, if the Finnish RPG scene needs a face, yours is better than mine. I am less photogenic, closer to the stereotype of an introverted geek and can't handle publicity nearly as well as you. Even if I don't subscribe to your theories and Schools of Roleplaying, they are good stuff to throw at journalists. So I'll just have to settle on being envious. Besides, I have a day job as a professional game designer and have always identified myself as a game designer rather than a "roleplaying book author".
Maybe I would call myself a roleplaying book author if I had planned the game settings all by myself, but Praedor copyright rests with Petri Hiltunen and Stalker copyright with Boris Strugatsky. The fact that I add ten times more content to the existing setting does not really count in intellectual property rights. Myrskyn Aika and Valenor are yours and yours alone, so the title of author is completely justified.
It will be interesting to see if the Praedor novel, a first step in what might lead to creating an all-Finnish fantasy brand with a variety of products, will change anything. Arts grant from the City of Vantaa was a good sign, but one more fantasy novel from Jalava is unlikely to generate the same level of interest as a complete RPG by a major publisher.
Keep up the good work! BTW, any new figures on Myrskyn Aika sales?
