Mark Kinney's "Crossfire" scenario in the Feng Shui sourcebook _In Your Face Again_ features a battle at a Sci-Fi con. Works rather well, especially if there are really weird characters (abominations, cyborgs) wandering around.

And best of all... the Klingons who finally get to use all those batlafs and wicked knives will be talking about it for YEARS...
