And Action Scenes kicks off again!
A little nitpick about this particular scenario:
Lots of people tend to forget that aerial combat is a 3-D thing rather than ground-based 2-D. Not only can you move left and right in the air, but you can also climb up and dive down and do all kinds of wildass maneuvers in the air.
Given these considerations, when I think "traffic jam in the air," I picture a friggin' 3-D WALL of vehicles, one right on top of the other in columns or something more chaotic in addition to the bumper-to-bumper deal we're used to.
What this means as far as combat is concerned is that there's plenty of opportunities for car-jumping wuxia mayhem, not only leaping from hood to hood, but from hood to underside to side to hood. And all the while, you and your opponent are blazing away with guns or trying to kick each other down with some wildass martial arts.
And also, if one or more of those vehicles should get disabled and fall to earth after being peppered with bullets...boys and girls, can you say "chain reaction?" I knew you could.
