How many people saw Mazes and Monsters and, never having heard of or played D&D, said 'Hey, that game sounds pretty cool'?
I did. Hee hee. Reefer Madness indeed.
In '84, my first year in High School, M&M was on TV one night. The next day, an announcement was made over the intercom at school about the D&D club, telling folks who wanted to join to show up at such-and-such room at noon.
Within a week, my Dad had bought the Basic D&D set (the fabulous red box - long live Larry Elmore!!).
