The Post-Apocalyptic article did such a fine job I plan to link to that title from my website. One of my genres for lists of out-of-print RPGs happens to be "Post-Apocalyptic" ...this piece will make a fine definition link for my readers.
One of my favorite games that saw no mention was "Traveller: The New Era," which certainly fits the definition, if only on a broader scale. [Although I must confess that this occurred to me... I'll have to go fix my site now.] In TNE, interstellar society must rebuild after the collapse of the galaxy-spanning Imperium, and a character's life is perilous. Boneyard worlds, malevolent AI-infected ships, Technologically-Elevated Dictators (TEDdies), 'Smash-and-Grab' operations (hit-and-run missions). Plenty to keep your characters busy. What they do matters.
