You can find this in wargames and other type of games: Levels of complexity. So, you may have the basic rules / setting info; next standard; next advanced. And so on. In a sense, like original D&D did.
I mean, you can have fast in, and next move to fast plus fast2. This is basically a case of good organization of game materials, not something that's embeded into rules or setting.
