Not being a fan of anonymous games (irc; MUSH, etc.) and greatly preferring the actual presence of others in group events, I believe attention to location is not stressed enough in RPG-ing. Living Rooms are often the WORST place to game; the obvious distraction of the TV, stereo, DVD collection and even gaming manuals completely disrupt any hope of immersing one's self in a fantasy world (which is certainly a goal of mine when RPG-ing). I find Gaming rooms at shops far better for serious games (that is, those where the GM put time and effort into cooking up the scenario...this time should never be dissipated by disrespectful gamers who'd rather tell side-jokes or go on about references to movies, etc.).
