Careful use of terms and claims

Overall this is a well thought out article. I do have one quibble, however. In argumentation, by using a supporting argument that can easily be cast in doubt gives all other arguments the appearance of a fallacy.

Namely, “The Big Bang as the origin of the Universe is an established fact” is just plain wrong. By putting the level of absolute on this area, all other arguments are cast in a negative light – this is human nature and reasoning, I’m afraid. The Big Bang as the origin of the Universe is “the predominant theory” or “the most strongly supported and accepted theory” but it is not “an established fact.”

There is plenty of evidence suggesting under our current level of understanding that the Big Bang is the most plausible and probable explanation of the beginning of the Universe, but to declare it a fact that can hold up to the standards of formal logic or the scientific process is not true.
