Just a comment about the dice roll.
The probability of getting three tens in a 6d10 roll is 1,585%. That gives approximately 1:63 odds. It is unlikely the player will succeed but is not that surprising if it happens. In the beginning I thought the probability would be much lower than that.
Probably you also had a smaller chance of success in mind when you gave him that roll to succeed. I think this illustrates one problem that sometimes occurs with dice pools. The GM usually is in the dark about the probability of success. Most people don't mind about this "problem" but unless the GM has a table with probabilities already calculated, in a lot of cases assigning difficulties with just a gut feeling will appear to give "weird" results.
