Well, I will sorely miss your rhetorical stylings. I do have hopes with a hand-picked successor. I will take this opportunity to ask a question that I've had tucked away for years. It's really a two beer question, so I understand if you don't respond fully.
So, a couple years back, you wrote:
Strangely enough, Traveller: The New Era could be considered a post-holocaust game. I know that its line manager at the late GDW, Dave Nilsen, rejected that characterization. I admire him for his efforts to make the game more than that, but I think, in the end, he failed.

Which I find a misguided intention. But then, I have a completely different definition of P-A then you end up with. Anyway...
---
I know whereof I speak on this matter. I wrote a cute little adventure in the TNE rulebook called "The Once and Future Emperor." Its published form was a hatchet job of editing that gave Frank Chadwick co-authorship and goes down in history as the only Traveller adventure to include the word "butthead." (thanks to Mr. Chadwick's unsolicited additions to my text). But I'm not bitter.
---
There has to - has to - be a good story here. What was the adventure like before the "editing?" How did they broach this with you? Was its original incarnation more in line with Mr. Nilsen's vision? I mean, that one is pretty essentially P-A, although, I could now see it as a parody if the lines were drawn out fuller, which may have been the cuts.
