Sort of a nice concept in a way except for two things.
First, it's a waste of time to tell us about the history and importance of something without telling us what it is. Sure I got to read a ‘The Pool has achieved bah bah bah with its innovative mechanics’ article, but I don't have a clue at all as to just what those mechanics are. As it is, all I saw was lots of over the top bubbling praise with no real support in your article beyond quotes from people I don't care about. My reaction is to wave it off as unfounded marketing hype.
Second (although it may be too early to tell for the entire column, the impression was overwhelming in this example) this column looks like a mouthpiece for the Forge and its favored designers. Surely the Forge is its own mouthpiece, an additional one here is redundant.
